These bottles are great! Used them with my son since he was 3 weeks old. We tried different brands and this one by Avent wins. It is easy to put together (only 4 pieces: bottle, ring, nipple, lid), easy to wash, and my son never gets gassy from using them. We combine breast feeding and bottle feeding, and he has no problem with nipple confusion. I love that these nipples (we use the number 1 size for now) let him control the flow and don't flood him with too much milk.

People who say these bottles leak aren't following the manufacturer's very simple instructions. You must assemble the nipple and ring while they're wet, and then when you screw the ring/nipple onto the bottle, be sure to put the cap on first and use it to screw the "top" on. When the lid starts to turn, you've tightened it enough. Don't hold the white ring to tighten the "top", use the lid only, otherwise you'll over-tighten it and it will leak. If you follow these steps, you'll love these bottles, too. I'll never buy anything else!

We bought several different bottles and this one won. It is the easiest to use, baby likes it very much, there is less spit up and gas with it. We love that the dome cap seals the bottle so you can shake, have in diaper bag, ect without leaks from the nipple. We did have to purchase #1 nipples since this came with #2 and that is just too fast of a flow for my 3 month old. You also have to check to make sure you closed it so there are no leaks before you feed the baby to avoid a mess. Just turn it upside down, then right side up a couple of times over the sink and if it leaks, unscrew and try again. We love these bottles and I really didn't want them to win since they are so expecsive, but they really are worth it.

We bought Avent bottles when my son was born and now he is 4 years old. We love it and so did he. However, when my daughter was born about 1 year ago, we thought we were going to use the same trusted brand of bottles with her. To our disappointment, the BPA free bottles leak. my baby was soaking wet before she could finish her milk. We call the toll free number and spoke to the representatives. They sent us new bottle rings but that did not help at all. We had to try and try to make sure it does not leak before giving to the baby while the baby is cry for her bottle. We will never recommand Avent to anyone else but to tell them not to buy Avent bottles.
If Avent Philip had made a mistake in the production, we suggest Avent Philip to recall the bottles. Dont wait for parents to try them and leave bad feedback.

I received this bottle as a gift on my baby shower. Before baby was born, I bought a lot of NUK bottles (some friends recomended me NUK), so after we came back from hospital, our formula fed baby refused to take NUK bottles at all! Thanks God we had this one and he took it wuth no problem! We went to the store next day to get more of those bottles and using it on regular base since then. We never had any problems with leaking. I am not sure if anti gas system really work. We bought Dr. Brown and MilkBank bottles as well and they all work the same, but Avent bottles way easy to clean.
The reason why it's not 5 stars review - the numbers on the bottle start dissapearing after 1 month of use.

This bottle is awful! Poorly designed! It leaks so bad that it soaks up my baby's clothes. For the money you spend its not worth it! After I threw these bottles out of the window I went to get new bottles called Born free. Love them! They have the anti-gas mechanism which in my opinion eliminates gas dramatically. My baby is less fussier ever since we started using these bottles.

After spending 2 months in the NICU and ending up dealing with relux and gas we found these bottles to work the best. We started with the Playtex Drop-ins and when we needed to start adding cereal those weren't working good at all. We went to a Babies R Us and bought one of these bottles and a Dr Brown bottle. We hoped this one would work since we didn't want to do all the cleaning for the Dr Brown bottle. They did! In the last week of using them we have had 1 leaky bottle and we noticed we didn't screw the cap on correctly. The number one thing to remember for bottles is that not every bottle will work for every baby. Don't buy a whole set of one type of bottle...just one bottle and some nipples. Try this out first and see how it goes. You can always buy more bottles but you can't return used ones to the store. This advice was from the NICU we were at. My only complaint is it takes a long time to heat but I think that is because we were used to heating the Playtex Drop-Ins that take no time at all.

These bottles are the worst, the cap does not close securely and the ring does not seal and they end up leaking all over... and not a little leak they soak the diaper bag, fridge, and the baby. I love the pacifiers and the bottle sterilizer...will not use these leaky bottles again! Too expensive and a huge headache!

I am nursing and I use this bottle, as well as the playtex drop-ins. No nipple confusion amongst the three at all. I highly recommend using the drop ins system absolutely no air bubbles! We also travel a lot which is also a benefit of Drop-ins. But Avent bottles do the job when you're at home. I give it four stars only because I prefer the drop in system better. (as far as hygiene and convenience)

Unfortunately (and this has cost us a fortune) we bought these bottles for our newborn and loaded up on nipples and 9oz bottles for when he got older. I want to throw every one (8 bottles to be exact) out the window. Whether with breast milk or formula, these bottles drip and leak while shaking them or feeding. We bought them for the supposedly great venting sustem to prevent air and upset stomach but had to purchase ALL NEW BOTTLES after using these a few times. We ended up with the Born Free bottles which I highly recommend. Slightly more bells and whistles, but our little guy rarely spits up and they work EXACTLY as they are supposed to.

These bottles are terrible, they leak! I used Advent with my 2 year old they worked fine. The only difference is the new ones are BPA free. They may be BPA free but are so leaky it dosen't matter. They use to be good not sure what happened to this new BPA free version. DO NOT BUY THESE BOTTLES!!
