These bottles are fantasic. I purchased in 2008 before the BPA awareness was extremely popular. I would highly recommend these bottles hands down to the others. The bottles fit perfectly in the dishwasher, so no separate sterilizer is necessary. The plastic bottles endured over a year's worth of use (in a daycare environment) and are still in great condition! Don't look anywhere else for bottles for your baby.

Lots of components but BPA free and well worth the time and effort to put together as well as $$$! Baby loves the bottles and so do we!

I didn't really have many problems...my only issue was the nipple was too large for my baby and kept inverting when he would eat...pricey too.

After trying a few different brands of bottles, we've settled on Born Free as the one that seems to help our baby keep her food down. Putting the bottle together is a little complicated, but that's fine as long as it works!

These bottles are great. After reading the reviews, I decided on the Born Free bottles mostly because most people said they did not leak. They were right. I have NEVER had these bottles leak. My daughter loves the bottles and can hold them on her own. I am breastfeeding and she has no problems using these bottles. Yes there are a few extra parts but they are super easy to clean. Work well with my bottle warmer as well.

these bottles work real good. im a first time mom and ive only tried these bottle so i cant compare them to others. but so far i have had no problems, baby likes them, ive never had leakage. they are strong and durable, ive dropped them a couple of times.

the only con i have is that it has many parts so it takes a bit longer to assemble them and make a bottle. i have no problem with this, its my hubby who complains of this. after a while you just get used to it and you can assemble them much faster. overall, i am very satisfied with this bottle.

I tried 3 different bottles before the born free and they all made my son gassy and very whiney. He loves his born free bottles... They are worth the cost!!!!

These are great. If you put the bottle together correctly and the nipple type works for your child they work well.

The issue with these bad reviews saying milk spills from the child's mouth, getting lots of gas....There is not one nipple type that works for every child. It depends on whether or not they breastfeed (and what moms breast shape is) if they have a high palate, etc. Lots of variables. I had one child who used Playtex well and two who use this one well. The playtex baby didnt breastfeed, so there you go.

Also you have to put it together correctly. If you don't put the valve together right...it won't work. I think those bad reviews had USER ERROR involved.

Another thing that helps my baby latch onto this nipple with least about of issues is just holding the bottle up a bit so its not resting on his lower lip..eliminates that clicking noise that means the latch is not sealed.

I have tried every single bottle just about and I go back to these. They are really good and worth a try at least if you're on the fence.
I've never had a leak (I did with Advent). I'm looking for the pump attachment now and I'm going to buy more bottles!
The ONLY con I have with these is that they're thick bottles...takes longer to warm up. Not a big deal tho.

I have used these bottles with my third child. I breastfeed and then supplement with formula at each feeding. With my other two kids I used Avent bottles, but have found I like these better. I like that they are chemical-free, and easy to use. I have had no trouble mixing formula in these bottles. You have to make sure the vent pieces are pushed together tightly, but once they are, I've had no leaking or other issues. I do put mine in the dishwasher (top rack only), and they still look new after months of washing. I like how the bottles can also be used as a sippy cup, once my child is ready for that stage. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is because occasionally when he was sucking extra-hard, the nipple did kind of collapse on him. It didn't stop him from drinking, but it did slow down the flow. Overall, I highly recommend these bottles and will happily continue using them.

i have tried avent, dr browns, tommee tippee, but born free is the best. Babies r us gave me a 5oz bottle for free after registering, and everytime i feed my baby, theres no crying or gas. it took me 12 weeks and alot of $$ to figure this out. avent leaks ( i don't know why people still buy them), dr browns has too many parts, tommee tippee (i bought these because of the sensitve tummy valve and temperature gauge, and the cool style-but who cares about cool, if baby is crying) is just junk! i cant believe i was waiting for tommee tippees to come out from the store room! born free does not leak, baby is happy- no gas, no crying, less spit up. i was simply too stubborn and didnt stick to these bottles after trying them with great results because i HAD to try everything else. now i know!
