It can be difficult to print hands and feet of a baby. I recommend doing this while they are sleeping. I was able to get prints of my child when she was 7 weeks old. Her hands and feet still fit on the ink pad. There was plenty of ink to get four separate prints (2 of her feet and 2 of her hands). I think I may even have enough ink to get two more prints for her photo book. This is a great and mess free purchase for your money. The quality is not bad either.

I love the idea of capturing my little one's prints, but this product did not allow me to do it. The ink pad design is nice, as it allows you to make prints without making a mess; as another reviewer commented, however, the ink gets partially used up on the first print, so any subsequent prints end up lighter in color and look silly next to the original dark one.

My bigger issue, though, was that the ink pad is significantly smaller than the matte's opening for the prints -- so small, in fact, that I could not fit my four-month-old's hand or foot on it. It would have been nice if they included the dimensions of the ink pad on the packaging so that I didn't have to purchase it in order to discover that it was too small for my baby's prints.

I really liked the idea of this frame. I took the prints while my baby slept which made it easier. My biggest issue is that they only give you one ink pad. After the first print, there wasn't enough ink for the second print. When I went to do the handprint it was missing ink in the shape of my babies foot from the print I had just done. I ended up buying two frames to get good prints. I'll end up finding something to do with the second frame but now I have one good frame with two good prints.

I loved this, bought it when my first son was only a couple months old in 2008 and did his handprints when we got his christmas pictures done. Plan on getting another one for my little boy thats due in june but plan on doing it earlier with newborn pictures!

The products is great but it is VERY hard to get my newborn's prints to come out well. This is to no fault of the product though. My son just doesn't want to cooperate. lol

I Thought this frame was so cute!! I did have a few spots on the ink pad that made it hard to get a good print... but it turned out good after I got my 1 month old to open his hand... :) I plan to get another one for my next child.

Great idea, easy to use but the imprint material is too hard. I had to really press my daughter's foot hard to get the imprint to take, then had to use my fingers to press it more. Then the edges curled while it dried so the tape wouldn't stick. I had to glue the frame together when I was done because it was in pieces. Product works but with a lot of difficulty.

I ordered two of these frames, one for my baby and one for a co-workers babyshower gift, Everyone in the office signed the frame with a sharpie. It looked really nice all put together. I would have baught the actual pearhead signature frame but at the time there was no picture or description for that item and i didnt want to risk getting the wrong thing, regardless this worked great and looks amazing, a must have for new parents! :) I will be using mine for my sons first christmas.

I'd like to address some of the negative reviews:

- Of course it's hard to get a good print. Babies squirm and you're afraid to be too rough when them when they're so new. What can you do? That's nobody's fault, and I think we all expected that going in. Wait until baby goes to sleep.

- I saw two mothers complain that it was too small for their two month olds. Of course it was. This is intended for newborns. And it fits a newborns hand and foot just fine (4" x 6").
