  • For security, your billing name, address and phone number must match the information that appears on your credit card monthly billing statement. We reserve the right to cancel any order that does not match these criteria.
  • An important note about debit and credit card transactions:

    Your credit or debit card will not be charged until your item(s) is shipped, at which time we will email you tracking information. Before your item(s) is shipped, your debit or credit card statement will show what looks like a deduction from your account. Please note, these funds have not been deducted but are being reserved within your account to ensure your order can be processed. This is known as an "authorization hold" and typically lasts from 3-7 days, depending upon the policy of your bank.

Credit Card Security Code


A credit card security code is an added safeguard for your credit card purchases. Depending on the type of credit card you use, it is the 3- or 4-digit number printed on the back or front of your credit card. For most online credit card purchases from us, the security code is required information.

Please note: Not entering a valid security code could result in a delay in processing your order. If you have questions about where you find the security code on your card, please see the examples below.

If your credit card does not show a security number, you are not required to enter one.

Redeeming a Promotional Code


How to redeem promotional codes:

  1. Enter the code(s) in the "Promotional Code" field on the Payment page and then click "Apply." Codes are CaSe SeNsItIvE.
  2. Promotional codes need to be entered one at a time. Using multiple promotional codes might void promotions that have already been applied.
  3. Promotional codes can be applied up to your order's total value.
  4. If accepted, the code will display with a "Status: Applied" message, and your discount will appear in the payment summary. If you add or delete a promotional code, your payment summary will refresh accordingly.
  5. If not accepted, the code will display with a "Status: Not Applied" message. Here are possible reasons your code wasn't processed:
    • You have not added all of the required items to your cart (including any gift with purchase items).
    • Many codes are one-time use. You've already used this code on a previous order.
    • Your order has not met all of the promotional requirements. (Note: Not all items are eligible for all promotions.)
    • The code entered was not within the valid effective dates.

    You bet! You can pick and choose from a large selection of pre-designed cards, or you can design your own Personalized Gift Card.

    How Can I Purchase a Gift Card Online?
    It's easy! Just follow these simple steps...

    • Visit our Gift Card homepage by clicking here.
    • Here, you can choose between three different Gift Card options:
      • Standard Gift Card: Choose from an assortment of pre-designed gift cards. To get started, click Choose A Card.
      • Design Your Own Gift Card: Take your gift to new levels by designing your own Gift Card! You can add your own images, background and/or text to create a unique, one-of-a-kind card. This option also comes with a Personalized Greeting Card that can be customized as well. To get started, click Design A Card.
      • eGift Card: Give that special someone the perfect gift, delivered right to their inbox! Choose from an assortment of pre-designed images and add your own message. To get started, click Send eGift Card.
    • Once you have selected a Gift Card option, simply follow the directions below.

    Standard Gift Card:

    • Select the dollar value you'd like loaded onto your Gift Card or enter your own amount in the corresponding field. You can also select the number of Gift Cards you'd like to purchase.
    • Choose a Gift Card design by filling in the corresponding bubble next to your design choice.
    • You can also choose to send your Gift Card inside a personalized greeting card. Simply fill out the corresponding bubble next to "Yes, I'd like to send the Gift Card Inside a Personalized Greeting Card ($4.50 plus Gift Card Value)." OR "No thanks, I'd like to send the Gift Card Inside a Letter Carrier ($1.95 plus Gift Card Value)."
    • Next, indicate whether you'll be shipping the Gift Card to "Other Recipient(s)" OR "Myself."
    • For each Gift Card you've selected, enter the recipient's name in the "To" field and the sender's name in the "From" field. You can also add a personal message if you'd like.
    • Please note...
      • If you opted to purchase more than one Gift Card...
        • Click "Apply to all Letter Carriers" if you'd like each Gift Card's information to be the same.
      • The shipping (or "ship-to") address later during the checkout process.
      • Each personal message will be included on the standard Letter Carrier that accompanies a standard Gift Card.
    • Then, enter the return address that will be printed on each Gift Card envelope.
    • Click "Add to Cart" to continue or "Go Back" to return to a previous page.
    • Once you click "Add to Cart," you'll be able to view a description of your order in your Cart, along with any other items you've added while shopping.
    • To edit an item in your Cart — including its Dollar Value and Gift Card design — simply click on the item's image or description.
    • When you're ready to check out, select "Proceed to Secure Checkout." If you are a registered guest, simply sign in and continue. Or, if you don't have an account and you'd like to proceed without signing in, simply enter the required information under "Enter Billing Address."
    • Finally, select or add a shipping address for the item(s) in your cart. If you are sending items to more than one address, select "Ship to multiple addresses," and you can enter a ship-to address for each recipient on the next page.
    • Once you've completed the checkout process, your Gift Card(s) will be sent to the shipping address selected, and you will receive a confirmation email.

    Design Your Own Gift Card:

    • Select the dollar value you'd like loaded onto your Gift Card or enter your own amount in the corresponding field. You can also select the number of Gift Cards you'd like to purchase.
    • Next, fill in the bubble next to "Design your own." Then, click "Continue."
      • Please note: To select a pre-designed Gift Card, click "Use one of ours." Then follow the instructions above, under "Standard Gift Card."
    • Personalizing your Gift Card:
      • Use the controls to the right of the Gift Card Preview to personalize your Gift Card(s). To add a background, select the corresponding tab and add background color by clicking on one of the swatches. You can also add a background pattern on top of the color you selected by clicking one of the patterns.
      • To add an image, select the corresponding tab and click "Upload Image." Then click "Choose File" to locate the JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIF or BMP image file on your computer that you'd like to use. Click "Upload Photo" to place the selected image on your card. Use the direction pad to adjust your image on the card. To add text, select the corresponding tab and type your message in the space provided. You can also adjust the font, color, size and style of the text.
    • After personalizing your Gift Card, review your design and messaging. Then, click the "Terms of Service" link to review the terms. You must check the box indicating that you have complied with the Terms of Service before you can continue.
    • Once you click continue, you can create a Personalized Greeting Card.
    • Personalizing your Greeting Card:
      • First, select a greeting card from one of the options provided.
      • To personalize your selected card, click "Personalize." To leave the card as is, click "Send As Is."
      • Type your message in the space provided on the personalization screen. Include your own sentiments inside the card — on the left and right sides — as well as on the back page. Use the tools to change the text font, color, size and style.
      • If you want to add a photo or image to be printed inside your greeting card, click "Upload Image" and follow the instructions to upload an image from your computer.
    • After personalizing your Greeting Card, review your design and messaging. Then, click the "Terms of Service" link to review the terms. You must check the box indicating that you have complied with the Terms of Service before you can continue.
    • Next, indicate whether you'll be shipping the Gift Card to "Other Recipient(s)" OR "Myself."
    • Fill out the name of the Gift Card recipient(s) in the corresponding Name fields.
    • Then, enter the return address that will be printed on each Gift Card envelope.
    • Click "Add to Cart" to continue or "Go Back" to return to a previous page.
    • Once you click "Add to Cart," you'll be able to view a description of your order in your Cart, along with any other items you've added while shopping.

    • Select the quantity of eGift Cards you'd like to purchase by clicking the drop-down menu under the image you'd like to include on your eGift Card. You can add up to 10 eGift Cards per order.
    • Depending on the number of eGift Cards you are purchasing, you'll have the same number of eGift Cards to customize as a gift. Click "Next" once you've filled out the required information for each eGift Card in your order.
    • You can preview an eGift Card by clicking "Preview." To continue, click "Next" at the bottom of the screen.
    • Note: If you have selected too many cards, simply click "Remove" or leave those fields blank. Once you click "Next," the blank cards will automatically be removed from your order.
    • The next screen provides a final opportunity to review your eGift Card order. If you are satisfied with your order, click "Add to Cart." Otherwise, click "Go Back" to modify your order.
    • Once you have completed the checkout process, each Gift Card recipient will receive an email containing the eGift Card(s). In addition, you will receive a confirmation email.

    Can I Order Gift Cards Over the Phone?
    Of course! You can order Standard Gift Cards and eGift Cards via phone. However, personalized Gift Cards and Personalized Greeting Cards must be purchased online.

    Why Can't I Order a Personalized Gift Card and Personalized Greeting Card Over the Phone?
    Creating a Personalized Gift Card and Personalized Greeting Card is exactly that — personal! To that end, online personalization offers Guests the time to explore all of the great options available. Additionally, there are several steps that our Guest Service Team would not be able to assist you with, such as uploading Gift Card images.

    Checking your Gift Card balance is easy! First, visit the Sign In page here and follow the directions below:

    • If you are a returning Guest, enter your email address and password in the corresponding fields.
    • If you are a new customer, enter your email address and create a password in the corresponding fields.
    • Select "Check Gift Card Balance" located under Account Features on the Sign In page.
    • Enter your Gift Card number and PIN. Then, click "Check Balance."

  • How Do I Redeem a Gift Card Online?
    It's Easy! Just follow these simple steps!!

    • Go to www.toysrus.com or www.babiesrus.com and select the items you want to purchase.
    • When you are ready to checkout, click "Cart" and proceed through our regular checkout.
    • Enter your gift card number...
      • On the Payment page
      • On the Review Your Order page
    • Enter your 16-digit card number
    • Enter your 4-digit PIN number. Click here for more information about PINs.
    • Click "Apply Gift Cards."
    • If the amount of your gift card doesn't cover your order total, you will be prompted to select an additional payment method.

    NOTE: Please hold on to the Gift Cards used for your purchase, even if you have used the total value. In case of any order adjustment or cancellation, we will issue credit to the original tender. Additionally, we'd like you to note that funds will be deducted from your gift card at the time your order is created.

    Can I use a Toys"R"Us Gift Card in a Babies"R"Us store or at Babiesrus.com?
    Absolutely! "R"Us Gift Cards can be redeemed in-store or online at Toysrus.com and Babiesrus.com, unless stated otherwise.

    Can I use a Toys"R"Us or Babies"R"Us Gift Card in-store?
    Certainly! All "R"Us Gift Cards, except eGift Cards, can be redeemed online and in-store. eGift Cards, however, can only be redeemed online.

    Can I use my mobile device to redeem an eGift Card at a Toys"R"Us or Babies"R"Us in-store?
    Yes! "R"Us eGift Cards can be redeemed in-store using your mobile device. Simply click on the link found on the top of your eGift Card and show your mobile device to the store associate when you are prompted to pay. The store associate will scan the barcode and enter the Gift Card PIN. An example of the link can be found below.

  • What is a PIN Number and Where is it Located?
    A PIN is a personal identification number that is unique to your "R"Us Gift Card. In most cases, it's located on the back of your card in the bottom-right corner. Or, if you have an eGift Card, your PIN is below the words "Card Number."

    What if my "R"Us Gift Card Doesn't Have a PIN?
    If your gift card doesn't have a PIN number, visit an "R"Us store to replace your card. Or, call us at 1-800-TOYSRUS (869-7787) for further assistance.
    Gift card account numbers that do not have PINs are not available for balance inquiry online. However, please call 1-800-TOYSRUS to find the balance of your PINless gift card.

  • Are There Any Rules and Regulations Regarding Gift Cards That I Should Know About?
    There are a few simple Rules and Regulations that you should know about:

    • Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash or returned for a refund, except as required by applicable laws in some states. See store for details.
    • A maximum of five Gift Cards can be applied to a single order.
    • Gift Cards can be applied towards the price, gift wrap, shipping and/or tax charges for eligible items.

Pay in Store

You can now reserve your online order and pay with cash at any Toys"R"Us or Babies"R"Us store located in the U.S. within 48 hours. It's simple! First, place your order online and select Pay in Store as your payment option. Second, you can either print a copy of the Order Confirmation email you receive which confirms your Pay in Store order has been placed or, you can use your Smartphone at the store to scan the barcode found in this email. Last, take the printed email Order Confirmation or your Smartphone and visit a store to pay for your order. You can pay using cash, credit card, gift cards or any other method of payment accepted at the store. Your order will ship after your full payment is received.

There are a few restrictions you should be aware of:

  • Gift Cards, Pre-order items, Ship to Store orders and items selected with same day Store Pickup orders cannot be purchased using the Pay in Store method of payment.
  • Pay in Store cannot be combined with credit cards, gift cards or gift certificates during online checkout.
  • Same day Store Pickup orders, Ship to Store orders and orders shipping internationally are not eligible for Pay in Store.
  • Returns made to a Toys"R"Us or Babies"R"Us store will be refunded to the original form of payment used at the store when you paid for your order.
  • Returns made to the Online Returns Center will be refunded using an eGift Card within 24 hours of processing. This eGift Card may be exchanged in any Toys"R"Us or Babies"R"Us store for a full refund back to your original method of payment. To help speed the process, please bring your eGift Card email and your original payment receipt when you visit the store.

Terms and Conditions - (Bi-monthly payments - 1 deposit and 6 payments)

The Layaway program is available at Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us stores, and Toys"R"Us Express and Toys"R"Us Outlet locations.

A deposit of at least 20% of the total price of your order plus all applicable taxes, a $5 service fee and shipping charges are due when the merchandise is put into layaway.You may make additional payments at any time, but payments must be made bi-monthly as follows 30% within fifteen (15) days; 40% within thirty (30) days; 50% within forty five (45) days; 60% within sixty (60) days; 70% within seventy five (75) days and the total price of your order must be paid within ninety (90) days or prior to the end of the holiday layaway period, whichever is earlier. In Maryland, the service fee is limited to $1.00 for goods $500.00 or less and $5.00 for goods over $500.00.

  • Your contract will be automatically cancelled and ordered merchandise will be returned to stock if you have not made payment of 30% of the total price of your order within fifteen (15) days; 40% within thirty (30) days; 50% within forty-five (45) days; 60% within sixty (60) days; 70% within seventy-five (75) days or your balance is not paid in full within ninety (90) days or prior to the end of the holiday layaway period, whichever is earlier. In Maryland, you have 15 days after the payment deadlines to make the required payment and avoid cancellation.
  • You may pay by cash, check, credit card, debit card or gift card. Credit card payments will be accepted by phoning the store where the layaway was initiated.
  • You may not make changes to this layaway order. If you no longer desire the specified merchandise, you must cancel your order. In Rhode Island and Ohio, you may cancel your order within 14 days without any cancellation fee and re-order any items at that time. In Maryland, there is no cancellation fee for orders cancelled within 7 days of the order. Also in Maryland, if the price of the item you order is reduced within 10 days of your order, you are entitled to a credit for the difference in price.
  • Special order, Doorbusters, food/formula and clothing items are not eligible for layaway.
  • You may pay the full balance on your layaway order at any time. Please note that many large, boxed items are held at off-site locations and may not be available immediately.
  • Large boxed items will be made available within fourteen (14) days of final payment.
  • In-store Layaway items will be made available immediately upon final payment.
  • A picture ID is required for all new layaway contracts, pickups, and refunds. Layaway contracts are non-transferable.
  • You may request a written record of your payments at any time. You will receive a receipt for each payment made towards the balance due.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your layaway order at anytime by notifying the store where you made your order. You must cancel the order in person or in writing.

Your order will be automatically cancelled and ordered merchandise returned to stock:

  • If you have not made payments of 30% of the total price of the order within fifteen (15) days; 40% within thirty (30) days; 50% within forty five (45) days; 60% within sixty (60) days; 70% within seventy five (75) days.
  • If your balance is not paid in full within ninety (90) days or prior to the end of the holiday layaway period, whichever is earlier. (See a Team Member for details on holiday layaway period dates)
  • If you do not pick up your merchandise within seven (7) days after it is made available.

A full refund less the cancellation fee will be refunded to you in person at the store where you placed your original order. In Maryland, you have fifteen (15) days after the payment deadlines to make the required payment and avoid cancellation.

In the event of a cancellation before the end of ninety (90) days, you must request a refund in person at the store where you placed your original layaway order. You are eligible for a full refund less the cancellation fee.

The cancellation fee on all layaway contracts is $10. In Maryland, Rhode Island and Ohio, the cancellation fee cannot exceed 10%. In Rhode Island and Ohio there is no cancellation fee for orders cancelled within fourteen (14) days of the order. In Maryland, there is no cancellation or service fee for orders cancelled within seven (7) days of the order.

If, when you make your final payment, we are unable to provide you with the merchandise specified in the layaway contract, you will receive a full refund of the deposit and all subsequent payments made under this contract except as provided by law.
